Hanne Mugaas
Untitled 1-5
Mugaas’ untitled set of five small photographs depicts various objects placed next to soft-drink cans, inspired by the user-adopted eBay convention of showing an item’s size and scale. Her work often deals with everyday visual language as it takes shape through the internet, e-commerce, and user-generated culture. Mugaas is an independent curator and artist who co-founded Manhattan’s tiny upstairs gallery Art Since the Summer of ‘69 (RIP) with Cory Arcangel & Fabienne Stephane, and she sells her Cute Even in the Dark print series at our shop. Previously, she installed her project Secondary Market at Ooga Booga in December 2008, which later traveled to the New Museum in 2010.
