"Gene Hackman is a writer’s residency housed temporarily at Bas Fisher Invitational. Timothy Stanley is in residence at Gene Hackman for three weeks. P. Scott Cunningham is in residence for six weeks. Tim is starting and finishing a full-length novel about Miami. Scott is writing a collection of poems.
Rules:
1. The public is welcome into the space to observe the writers. Gene Hackman is active between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and noon to four p.m. on Saturday. Gene Hackman is closed on Sunday.
2. Every weekday at 5 p.m., each writer gives a short reading from his/her project. Readings will also take place on the following Saturdays:
August 27 at 2 p.m.
September 3 at 2 p.m.
September 10 at 8 p.m.
3. Each writer must serve as critic. The goal of the critic is to be as cruel as possible.
4. Each writer must print out any and all writing completed by the end of the workday.
5. Any writing project begun at Gene Hackman must be completed before leaving Gene Hackman."
